Rizvi Architects
World Trade Center, Phase II (Mr. Rizvi at CBT)

In the early 1980s, Boston’s Historic Commonwealth Pier was redeveloped as the World Trade Center. The second phase of this project was the extensive planning for and redevelopment of the Commonwealth Flats across the street from the Pier. The land on which planning focused now offers 1.4 million square feet of office space in three office buildings, a 420-room business class hotel, 50,000 square feet of retail, a large public plaza, and a 1,650-car parking garage. Mr. Rizvi was project manager for the project at CBT and, as the principal of Rizvi, served as the coordinating architect. With a total ten-year build out cost of $500,000,000, this was one of the largest projects completed in Boston.
