Rizvi Architects
Fahey Residence

Rizvi planned a gut rehabilitation, systems replacement, and separate studio addition to this high-end residence originally constructed in the 1960s. Through the planning process and in design development, the house was upgraded to reflect the contemporary living, working, and entertaining style of an active family and a productive artist.

The original kitchen plus several small spaces on the first floor were combined to provide a comfortable kitchen and family center. A screened porch was added to the rear of the structure for Summer dining. A comfortable Master Suite was developed from several small rooms and an unused attic space.

A free-standing 1,068-square foot, two-story studio was designed and constructed on the wooded property a short distance from the main house. The finest materials and custom detailed and tailored millwork contribute to an open, bright, and maintenance effective architectural gem.
