Rizvi Architects
Central Artery Air Intake Building at Dewey Square

Rizvi was the architect for three projects for the Massachusetts Highway Department in a team led by a joint venture of Weidlinger Associates and Edwards and Kelcey. Rizvi was responsible for designing a $14,000,000 air intake building for the depressed artery, located in the green median near Dewey Square.

The firm was also tasked with designing a $3,000,000 building to serve as one of the emergency vehicle stations for the Central Artery/Tunnel and developing the tunnel finishes for the Dewey Square Tunnel, the only portion of the new artery project that renovated and reused an existing tunnel structure.
