Rizvi Architects
Federal Hill Residences

Rizvi completed design development documents for this 30-story residential complex in Providence, Rhode Island. The building consists of 210 luxury residence units. Each 12,000- square foot floor plate accommodates separate vertical cores for condominium and apartment units with seven residential units per floor. Included in the design are community facilities such as a fitness center, concierge, and administrative spaces. Also under consideration is an 8,000-square foot rooftop restaurant with views of Providence’s rapidly growing downtown and waterfront districts.

Design challenges included a relatively small 58,000-square foot site and underground parking for 325 vehicles. Each design iteration feeds from a different “face” of the city. Art deco, contemporary, and the traditional Clock Tower schemes all point to various architectural styles seen in and around the city of Providence.
