Logan Intl. Airport - Terminal C - Expansion and Renovation

The Terminal C Checkpoint Consolidation Project expands, renovates, and consolidates the two existing TSA Security Checkpoints (located in the aircraft piers) located behind the JetBlue ticket counters. Rizvi also provides services for a post security connection between Piers B and C and the refinishing of the ceiling and replacement of the HVAC system for the main ticketing hall. The project involves a multi-disciplinary construction program including architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection work.

The project includes a new addition/renovation of approximately 72,000 square feet from the JetBlue ticket counters to the east end of the existing TSA bag screening building for the new security checkpoint, post security connection, and future retail space.

The existing TSA bag screening building is currently separated from the terminal by a driveway used by baggage tugs. The addition spans this tug driveway. Included in the project is the construction of new ATO offices and telecom/IT rooms to replace the existing offices. Upon replacement of these offices and telecom rooms, and relocation of the tenants, the demolition of the main ticketing hall’s east curtainwall and structural support, the concession stands, and the roof of the offices will be demolished to install the new roof structure. Work will include two new sets of restrooms, elevators in Pier B and Pier C, and a new KidsPort room.

When the new security checkpoint is operational, the equipment in the existing checkpoints will be dismantled and the areas refinished.
