Peabody Essex Museum – Master Plan

Rizvi prepared the master plan to expand and reorganize the overall space use for the Peabody Essex Museum, the oldest operating museum in the United States. The museum consists of 100,000 square feet of permanent collections, storage, and research facilities. It is also home to two major research libraries.

The master plan included programming, needs assessment and prioritization, development of a long-term space management plan, development of numerous design approach alternatives, and identification of discrete construction increments over time.

The master plan was adopted by the Museum as the basis of a $32 million phased construction and reorganization plan.
